This photo was taken by my roommate a couple of days ago. It really depicts my mood when cycling through the desert. Mile after mile, as far as the eye can see, there is nothing but you, the bike, and the desert. It´s survival of the fittest not only emotionally, but physically.
A good post, JoAnn. I agree with you about the desert experience and would add that it is also serene. Quite moments. You sound well and thriving. Paul
ReplyDeleteHi Paul
ReplyDeleteYesterday while driving the SAG, waiting at an outpost in the desert for the cyclists to come through, I heard flutes playing. The music seemed to be coming from the wind traveling through the hills. Today, while in town, I asked a Shoshone Shaman about my experience and he said it was the Indian spirits in the desert. He also said not everyone hears them?? Only people who are open to the spiritual world. ME???
